Yesterday the New York attorney general filed a lawsuit against Charter Communications, alleging that the cable internet provider failed to deliver on promised internet speeds and reliability. Connecticut-based Charter’s subsidiary, Spectrum, was previously known as Time Warner Cable.
The fact that New York’s local cable company is providing customers with slow broadband speeds and unreliable service will not shock the millions of New Yorkers who are suffering. Many businesses in the city have no other options for internet other than cable.
The lawsuit claims the company failed to address network problems that led to slower-than-promised speeds and is seeking compensation for customers.
